We offer a variety of classes for learners from Literacy level to
LINC level 6

  • English is taught according to the Canadian Language Benchmarks and LINC Curriculum Guidelines.
  • Learning is enhanced by the use of computers and ESL software.
  • Transportation and childminding assistance provided for registered eligible students.
  • Home study program may be available for students who cannot attend regular LINC classes.

Assessment Process

   

Any client interested in LINC classes, must first come in for an assessment.

To be eligible for classes the client must provide original immigration documents issued by Citizenship and Immigration Canada prior to the assessment.

These documents include:

  • Permanent Resident documents
  • Convention Refugee or Government Assisted Refugee documents 

The assessor will evaluate client's language skills in listening, speaking, reading and writing. The assessor will refer client to the appropriate LINC classes or other local programs based on the results of the language assessment.

The assessment takes approximately 2 to 3 hours to complete.

A referral to the LINC Home Study Program may be available if the client is unable to attend regular LINC classes.
